Provisio Medical, Inc. is a high-growth, recently FDA-cleared medical device company in the vascular intervention space.  Provisio Medical seeks to establish a new standard in vessel sizing, a critical step in millions of endovascular procedures performed every year.  Provisio’s SLT IVUS™ technology, which is incorporated into the type of catheters that physicians are already using, is designed to revolutionize interventional therapies by giving physicians the exact information that they need, when they need it, while enhancing procedural workflow. SLT IVUS is a novel implementation of ultrasound that enables real-time measurement of blood vessels to aid in the selection of appropriate therapeutic stents and balloons and confirm treatment results.  With the company’s recent FDA clearance, the company is rapidly expanding its operations.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing catheter engineering development management for the Provisio SLT IVUS™ system in addition to next generation catheter development activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new catheter products intended for clinical and diagnostic use, utilizing both electrical and mechanical components
  • Utilize CAD tools to design new catheter products
  • Independent research skills for new materials and catheter construction methodologies
  • Lead all qualification efforts for next generation systems including NTRL support, internal V&V activities, generating test protocols and executing test protocols to ensure compliance with product requirements and IEC60601 regulatory requirements
  • Familiar with medical device regulations (FDA, ISO, etc.) and ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Support catheter development products transfer to production efforts, including development of test fixtures and supporting scalable manufacturing aids
  • Routinely manage and report production schedules in-line with company priorities
  • Support company goals and objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Biomedical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years industry experience OR
  • Masters of Science in Biomedical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of industry experience
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of disciplines and team members in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work on-site, full-time
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds with appropriate posture conducive to lifting heavy objects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Technology or other relevant field
  • IPC certification a plus
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, communication, and training skills
  • Ability to exercise sound decision-making and good judgment consistent
  • Strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, to handle multiple tasks, and to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Can use software programs including Microsoft Work, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with RF hardware with frequencies below 100MHz
  • Expertise in prototyping and manufacturing methods appropriate for the medical device industry

SALARY RANGE

Salary range of $54,000 and $75,000 based on education and experience.
